Fiddah App
Redefining the Gifting Experience through UX Design
01
Project Overview
Introduction
Fiddah is a groundbreaking mobile application designed to transform the way people send and receive gifts. The app's goal is to simplify and personalize the gifting experience while ensuring the process is seamless and enjoyable. As a UX designer, I was tasked with improving the overall user experience by optimizing navigation, simplifying the purchasing process, and enhancing user engagement.

Understanding the user
The Challenge
The main challenge for Fiddah was to design an intuitive and smooth user journey for both sending and receiving gifts. The app needed to cater to a wide range of users, including those who are new to online shopping or unfamiliar with digital gifting. The goal was to make the process effortless, while also providing an enjoyable and personalized experience for the users.
Design principle
Simplicity
The design needed to be clean and intuitive to avoid overwhelming users. By focusing on core features and removing unnecessary elements, I ensured that the app remained easy to navigate and allowed users to enjoy the process without distractions.
Seamless Experience
The goal was to create a design that felt completely natural for users, ensuring that their journey from browsing to purchasing was uninterrupted and fluid. By eliminating friction points and optimizing the flow, I ensured that users had a seamless experience that felt intuitive.
Real-Time Order Tracking
OfUsers needed to feel confident and informed throughout their journey. Providing instant, clear feedback for each action—whether adding a gift to the cart or confirming a purchase—was crucial to keeping users engaged and reassured about their actions.

Starting the design
To address the challenges of diverse user needs and complex processes, I began by thoroughly analyzing the app’s existing structure. The design approach was centered around user-centric principles, aiming to enhance usability by simplifying interactions. Key goals included ensuring ease of navigation, optimizing the purchasing and delivery flow, and providing users with a delightful first impression through onboarding and splash pages.
Restructuring the Navigation:
The first step was to simplify the app’s navigation structure. I reorganized the menus and categories to ensure that users could easily find what they were looking for without feeling overwhelmed. This also involved improving the app’s search functionality to make it more intuitive.
Improving the Purchase and Delivery Experience:
One of the main touchpoints for users is the purchasing and delivery process. I streamlined the flow from browsing products to making the final purchase. I designed a simple and clear checkout process, eliminating unnecessary steps that could cause friction. Additionally, I focused on making the delivery tracking process transparent and easy to follow, ensuring that customers always knew where their gifts were in the delivery process.
Splash Page Design:
To set the tone for the app, I designed a splash page that introduced the app's core message and values. The splash page was designed to be visually engaging, immediately drawing users into the world of Fiddah’s gifting experience.
Onboarding Experience:
I designed an onboarding flow that welcomed new users to the app and helped them get started quickly. The onboarding process was simple yet informative, guiding users through the app’s key features without overwhelming them. This ensured that users could start using the app with ease and confidence.

The visual design was an integral part of ensuring the app was both functional and engaging. The following elements were designed to reinforce the app’s theme of seamless gifting:
A/B Testing for Homepage Design:
To optimize user experience and engagement, I conducted A/B testing for the homepage design. The goal was to determine which layout and visual elements resonated most with users. The test compared different variations of the homepage in terms of user interaction, conversion rates, and overall satisfaction. Based on the results, I implemented the most effective design that provided a better user experience, increased engagement, and enhanced overall performance.
