Cova app
Order Coffee and bring the order into your morning
01
Project Overview
The Product
Coffee delivery apps have become increasingly popular in recent years, allowing users to order and receive their favorite coffee drinks without ever leaving their homes or offices. However, with so many coffee delivery apps available, competition is fierce, and users have high expectations when it comes to usability and convenience.
The purpose of this UX design project is to redesign a coffee delivery app to stand out from the competition by providing a seamless and enjoyable user experience. The app will be designed to meet the needs of coffee lovers who want to quickly and easily order their favorite drinks, track their orders in real-time, and receive personalized recommendations based on their preferences
Goals
Our goal with this UX design project is to create a coffee delivery app that stands out from the competition by providing a seamless and enjoyable user experience. We aim to address the following pain points and challenges:
Complex and confusing interfaces that make it difficult for users to place an order quickly and easily.
Limited customization options, which can lead to frustration and dissatisfaction when users are unable to order their preferred drinks.
Inaccurate or delayed delivery estimates, which can cause anxiety and frustration for users.
Lack of a spontaneous and intuitive way to process canceled orders and get refunds
Through user research, design, and testing, we aim to create an app that meets the needs of coffee lovers who want to order their favorite drinks with ease and convenience. We will focus on simplicity, personalization, real-time order tracking, and a delightful user experience to create an app that stands out from the competition and meets the needs of our target users.

Understanding the user

Initial Research
First things first, I conducted a competitive and feature analysis of the food and coffee delivery apps in the market. Then, I surveyed and interviewed coffee drinkers to gain insight into their motivation and pain points.
Then since it is a redesigning project, I ensured to do a user experience audit (UX Audit) to pinpoint less-than-perfect areas of the existing app, to reveal which parts of the app are causing users to feel frustrated.
With the help of other members within the development and customer care teams, I used a variety of methods, tools, and metrics to analyze where the app goes wrong or right, starting with a review of business and user objectives, customer care data, Traffic and engagement, and usability heuristics, in order to come up with user-centric enhancements.
Findins
Based on our research, we identified the following key insights:
Users are looking for an app that is easy to use and navigate, with a simple and intuitive interface.
Users want the ability to customize their orders and save their favorite drinks for easy ordering in the future.
Users value real-time order tracking and notifications, as well as accurate delivery estimates.
Users appreciate having a spontaneous and intuitive way to process canceled orders and get refunds.

Persona
Design principle
Simplicity
The app should be designed to be simple and easy to use, with clear and intuitive navigation. Users should be able to quickly and easily place their orders without feeling overwhelmed or confused by the interface.
Personalization
Offer users the ability to personalize their orders to their liking, including options for customizing drink preferences, adding special instructions, and saving favorite orders for easy reordering in the future. The app should also provide personalized recommendations based on users' past orders and preferences.
Real-Time Order Tracking
Offer users real-time order tracking, providing updates on the status of their order and accurate delivery estimates. This feature can help to reduce anxiety and frustration among users who are waiting for their orders to arrive.

Starting the design
We started a brainstorming session and get some ideas related to user's frustrations, in the narrowing down step we focused on the high-value yet easy-to-accomplish features and included the must-haves for the main features of the app.
Main Features
WIREFRAMING
Here I created wireframes and prototypes to test our designs with users. We conducted usability testing sessions to gather feedback on the app's layout, navigation, and features. Based on user feedback, I made iterative changes to the design to improve usability and address any pain points.

TAKEAWAYS
Through this UX design project, we were able to enhance the coffee delivery experience by creating a user-friendly and efficient app that meets the needs of coffee lovers. By conducting user research, designing with empathy, and testing our designs with real users, we were able to identify pain points and preferences and design a solution that provides a seamless and enjoyable user experience.
Some of the key takeaways from this project include the importance of simplicity and ease of use, personalization and customization, real-time order tracking and notifications, consistency, accessibility, feedback, and speed and performance. We also learned the value of iterative design, incorporating user feedback into the design process to continually improve the app.
By focusing on these design principles and incorporating user feedback, we were able to create an app that is both functional and delightful to use. The app allows users to easily customize their orders, and track their orders in real-time. It also provides a convenient and efficient way for users to order their favorite drinks without leaving their homes or offices.
